When all data is digital, when all news is digital, when anyone sitting in front of a keyboard can post something on-line and call themselves a blogger or journalist, then the end of media has arrived. When news programs spend more time on celebrity scandals than on the violent crime in your neighborhood, you know something is wrong with our priorities. Run this little test: open your browser to The Onion and to CNN or any major network news site in a separate window. Then start reading random headlines aloud to a friend and ask them to guess which is the fake news and which is the real news. Surprised?
