Personal Responsibility
I wish Obama would make it an issue to address personal responsibility. We would all be better off if people would stop being jerks all the time. Do you need to be so loud and boisterous walking down the street? Do you need to blast your stereo so everyone has to hear it? Do you need to make lots of noise in your apartment so that all your adjoining neighbors are disturbed? Why does everyone else have to be burdened because you won't discipline your children? Exercise some self control. Accept responsibility for your actions. Be a better person. You will be a better citizen and a better American. And people might like you better. Wouldn't it be cool if we put our egos aside and were all a little nicer to each other?
Football Player Celebrations
I wish the NFL and/or coaches would stop player celebrations for making every friggin' play. They force an incomplete pass and they celebrate. They make a sack and they celebrate. They catch a ball and they celebrate. They knock someone out of bounds and they celebrate. Just get to the line and get ready for the next play. Stop the nonsense. Celebrate when you win the game. Show some professionalism.
Crazy People
People who are obviously mentally disturbed should not be allowed out into the public. Whether they are ranting and raving drunks or ranting and raving lunatics, these people should not be out and about with the rest of the population. Lock them up, medicate them, give them whatever help they need, but just don't let them out to wander around my block.
Fast Food
Sometimes I need that massive calorie burst of two Whoppers and large fries. Hey, I'll drink water with that.
Economic Meltdown
Thank you, Capitalist Greed, for the situation we are in. See #1 Personal Responsibility. You are gambling with my money. You stole the money I had invested to line your pockets. I accept there are risks to investing in an IRA, but you people really screwed the average Joe over with your weird financial manipulations that led to this meltdown. Capitalism has failed and has been replaced in the US by a socialist system. Government fingers in all the pies. Repackaged mortgage derivatives. It is enought to make Adam Smith shake his invisible hand in anger.
We are headed for the last days of Western Civilization. The decline happened already. The fall is happening now and is almost over. We are headed for really tough times ahead. And don't think our enemies haven't noticed all the trouble we have been having keeping our own house in order.
